According to the National Trust’s facts and figures page, the charity enjoys a membership base of nearly 6 million people. They are also the UK’s largest farm owner with nearly 250,000 hectares of land and more than 1,300 tenant farmers.

Their website declares that they are “committed to farming with both food production and nature in mind, so plants and animals can thrive.”

However, their apathetic stance towards trail-hunting incidents on their land contradicts their stated values, which is deeply disheartening.
